Bio

In October of 2003, Patti Lagana (Gwenn Standzbig - Vocal) created Ms. Fits, an all female tribute to the Misfits. Quickly gaining momentum, the girls were featured in Music Connection as one of the Top 100 Unsigned Bands of 2003. Photographed by Gary Leonard (who has photographed such greats as Andy Warhol and Jack Nicholson), and being featured in Spin, Mean Street, LA Alternative Press, and LA.Com, they continued their rise with the introduction of Rosie Gonce (Robosie - Drums). Ms. Fits released Hate is Your Mistress on Cover Grrl Records on Halloween of 2006.

Several months later, this raging duo added Christina Ownby (Cherry Blowme - Bass) and Melissa Kaplan (Goil Von FrankenHooker - Guitar) and they became the group that is now more popularly known as The Bitchfits, Bitches Doin' Misfits.

Their wild and voracious live performances gave the Bitchfits the edge in playing with TSOL, National Lampoon's Metal Skool, Iron Maidens, ACDShe, and Cheap Chick, but they usually stand alone, having brought in around a thousand kids, headlining at such well known venue's as The Roxy, The Knitting Factory, and the Viper room.

The Bitchfits have traveled extensively around the West Coast since their beginnings and having just returned from the midwest, are preparing for their first European tour. The Bitchfits have even been featured on Monster Garage and Queer T.V.

The Bitchfits are hard hitting, rock your face off, punk rockers. These Bitches have been doing what they've always wanted to do, and will keep throwing out wild stage performances that make the people keep coming back for more.
