Biography

Biting Saints is a band that employs a raw, brutal presence, technical know how and a fresh approach to lyrical content, they combine intensity and intelligence with savagery and musical approachability, creating an experience that is primordially terrifying, intellectually challenging, and deeply satisfying to the most jaded of music fan. The band consists of lead vocalist Angel Imanuel, whose voice is deeply moving, and is as powerful as it is emotionally wrenching, crackling with pain, fury and brilliance. Lead guitar duties are filled by Ivan Krival, who utilizes an involved style that doesn't alienate the listener; a great deal of thought goes into every note he plays, and shows in every song he performs. The rhythm guitar section finds Joe Dillinger, co-founder of the band, using what can only be called a jack hammer style of playing. The craftsmanship found in Dillinger's writing and playing is like that, unto his namesake, dangerous, inventive, and even slightly criminal. On Bass we find Jay Peralta, a moving force of heavy lines and unusual progressions that leave wreckage across the stage and crowd, Rounding out the quintet is Danny Mesias, the other co-founder in the band. Mesias’ drumming style is said to call forth Cro-Magnon behavior in anyone within earshot, per his energetic, brutal, unhinged style, both on and off the kit. Biting Saints is as cerebral a musical entity that revels in the complexity and simplicity it creates.
