Bio

Screaming from Los Angeles, California is Bittercrush. The group was formed in May 2012 with Travis Cormier on vocals, Michael O’Grady and Rockwell Sands on guitars, Aaron Brown on bass, and Jordan Soto on the skins. Coming together from different local bands, the five united around a repertoire of honest original material that hits close to home for musicians and fans alike.

One of their first online releases was “Hard Pill To Swallow,” a gritty in your face explosive song with catchy guitar licks and a driving chorus. Expanding on their dynamic versatility, they put up two more tracks, “Crashing (Call On Me)” and “Decadence, Silence, Harmony.” Says Aaron, “’Crashing’ combines freshness with classic elements to tell the universal story of a guy who misses a girl.” The song “Decadence, Silence, Harmony” unites a western feel with a haunting guitar melody as Travis’s voice swells from a soft remorseful tone into an aggressive punch of volume. “He really drove this song home and belted his lungs out,” notes Rockwell Sands. “I haven’t heard many singers who can draw you in like Travis does.”

Bittercrush is currently working on a song titled “This One Is For You” dedicated to O’Grady’s hometown of Warren, Ohio. Scheduled for release in late June of 2012, the song commemorates the unveiling of the world’s largest drumsticks in dedication of Dave Grohl Alley, a street that was renamed to honor the Foo Fighters front man who is also a Warren native. In order to hype up this event, the boys of BC wrote a song to honor both the locale and Warren’s blue-collar citizens. “ I didn’t just want to write about the street. I wanted to try and capture the feeling of missing home and being proud of where you come from, no matter where it is,” says Michael O’Grady.

Rehearsing and writing new material in their adopted hometown of Hollywood, Bittercrush is ready to get their name out of the garage and onto the stage. “Performing live is something we all live for, there’s is no greater joy then being on a stage,” Travis Cormier enthuses. The other members agree: Bittercrush eats, sleeps, and breathes music. With diligent dedication and unshakeable belief, they are well on their way to making their dreams a reality.
