Bittersweet Highway

Bittersweet Highway is a musical duo performing what they call "Progressive Folk." This singer-songwriter duo from the borderlands between Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado is quickly becoming known for a style they are calling Progressive Folk. Blending elements of jazz, blues and folk music, their writing is fresh and hard to categorize meaning they have a truly original sound. Evocative story-telling and captivating musical phrasing combine with dynamic acoustic guitar to create tunes that echo long past the first listen. Nominated in , and finalists in the "Best Song" and "Best Bluegrass/Americana Song" categories at the Indie Music Awards in the Southwest 2013 their fresh songwriting features intricate guitar work and compelling harmonies. Whether its one of their own, or one of the eclectic covers they perform, influences of blues, jazz and folk weave together in their soulful melodies to create a new and original sound.
