Bio
1963: Came to the planet "once more", this time in Akureyri, Iceland.
Started playing the guitar at age 11 and bass at 14. Studied both
instruments until the bass got the
upper hand at age 16.
1985: Graduated from Musicians Institute in LA in. Teachers: Jeff
Berlin, Paul Farnen, John
Humphrey, Bob Magnusson and Putter Smith plus all the guys in my year
and life in LA, great time for
a young dude from a small island in the north of the globe.
1986: Back in Iceland, Music Music Music! Lots of different gigs local
and international.
1989: Founded a music-school Tónskóli Eddu Borg with wife Edda Borg.
Still work there, passing it on
to a new generation.
1996: Back in LA after reading „Autobiography of a Yogi“ and soon
after became a member of Self-
Realization Fellowship.
1999: Encore Program at Musicians Institute. Studied with guitarist
Sid Jacobs and Saxophone player
David Pozzi.
2009: My CD „About Time“ came out. Music dating back to my years as a
bass-student in Hollywood
in the 80s and up to the date of the recordings.
Still playing music. It‘s the only thing I know how to do but still,
it‘s a mystery.
