Black Ivan

Growing up music has always been a part of Black Ivan’s life. As a young child he grew up listening to all genres including Jazz, Classical, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, and Freestyle. One day he was introduced to trance music which is were his love of Dance music took off. Being classically trained in Piano, Christopher took a liking to more melodic and complex sounds, gravitating to artists such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, and Paul Oakenfold.

While attending performing arts schools at a young age, he became familiar with the performing and fine arts learning the piano in both genres of classical and Jazz. He took this knowledge and began to produce music.

At the start of College, is where his DJ career began. The opportunity arose one day for him to DJ a local frat party and he gladly stepped up to the plate. After just one performance he became the resident DJ for that fraternity and soon the entire school. Soon after graduation, Ivan turned his focus to his career in financial world becoming a AVP for one of the Top 5 banks in the United States. Soon after accomplishing this he turned back to music as a hobby which soon began the battle of taking priority in his life.

During this time A.S.O.L. was founded and the movement had begun. In this time he moved his way up in the NYC club scene, playing at major clubs including historical Webster Hall and the world known PACHA NYC.

The journey continues as Ivan focuses his energy full time on producing new and exciting dance music that he hopes one day he will have the opportunity to share with the world.
