Black Pulp

Black Pulp is Jack Smith, Sam Holt, Matthew Bayliss and Stephen Williams, a band based in Liverpool; originating from the Wirral, Warrington and Birmingham taking influences from Indie, Funk, Pop and Rock to create their own crafted sound that stands on its own two feet.

Using guitar fronted music to create an encapsulating sonic live atmosphere they bring something different to the table.

During their sort tenure of less than a year they have played an extensive amount of gigs including Liverpool, Manchester, Burnley and the West Midlands picking up praise and comparisons of Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, The 1975 and Peace to name a few.

Their first officially released single ‘Vapour’; coming out of the world class, highly regarded Motor Museum Studio in Liverpool has received a mass of positive feedback having been featured twice on BBC Introducing for Merseyside Radio and having blog features on ‘Indietronica’ and a raving feature from Liverpool’s own non-profit blog ‘Getintothis’. Their second release Smokescreen also featured as ‘producers pick’ on Merseyside’s BBC Introducing amongst play listing(s) from blogs on the bands’ Soundcloud.

Off the back of a successful first year for the band the year ends with arguably their largest gig to date at the world famous Cavern Club as part of BBC Merseyside host ‘Dave Monks presents…’

With the ending of 2016 near, 2017 looks to have all the potential for Black Pulp to take the music world by storm and make their mark on the many.
