Bio
Formed in 1992 in Los Angeles as a recording project, Black Atmosphere soon ventured out as a live act, incorporating theatrics with a psychadelic ensemble. The exposure and momentum of L.A.'s press led the band on a tour to explore a handful of definitive songs, which were then recorded and released. Then in 1993 Black Atmosphere made their dedicated move to Seattle, where they made it their home base. The band has statured themselves as one of the more layered-sounding bands on the circuit, and continued on by expanding their horizons artistically as well as by forming relationships with business partners in preparations for large scale new releases and promotion of their upcoming tours.
Morgen Gallagher (BASS, GUITARS)
Born into a musical family, Morgen spent a portion of his earlier years on major tours with his father who was a guitar session player in the early 80's. He started playing guitar at the age of 12, but when he turned 17 was asked to play bass for another band and soon climbed the ranks of Seattle's music scene playing with members of bamds including Sleaze, Son of Music, Alice In Chains, Neuron 99, Saturn Cats, Witch Doctor, Candle Box, Pearl Jam, Seek, Suction and many others ranging in styles from Punk Rock to Industrial and Blues and Funk bands
Stephen Garcia (DRUMS, PERCUSSION, ELECTRONICA AND SAMPLING)
Steph en started playing music at a very young age and has kept himself busy with immersing himself into pushing sounds and his styles to an always evolving state.While drums are his primary weapon of choice, he has also brought sampling and soundscape electronica edge to the bands resource pool. Stephen has been playing with Black Atmosphere since 2000 and enjoys the versatility that Black Atmosphere challenges him with.
Xtoph Gladis (VOCALS, KEYBOARDS, NOISE)
Cristoph began playing guitar at the age of 7 in Los Angeles, where he learned basic rhythm and chord structures within a Blues-style of playing. At the age of 13 he started his own band and entered the Hollywood circuit and expanding himself with a multitude of bands with styles ranging from Punk Rock to Experimental Noise. With a short stint with The Dream and Dream and Christian Death, he shortly thereafter formed Black Atmosphere, where he's since taken on the role as the primary song writer.
