Bio
The band was started back in 2009 by Gabriel Ponton and Dmytryk Carreno in Pasadena, California. Starting out as a rock band, the members soon found that their vocal harmonies were a defining feature that they excelled in. After a new direction into the indie folk scene, Gabriel and Dmytryk began writing a lot of songs together and separately, finding their niche in the coffee house. It was in 2012 that they released their first EP entitled Dowdy Brandr. Then in December of 2013, the band was joined by guitarist Jake Bautista and added a new element to their sound. After playing a couple of shows in Venice and the Sunset Strip (namely the House of Blues, Molly Malones, WitZend and the Viper Room) the band solidified their set of original music for the big stage, complete with intimate harmonies and a big rock sound.
