What happens when you mix a 35-year veteran of the Chicago music scene with a young singer who wasn't even born when her partner had already been playing for many years? That's Blackbirds. Mike's roots are in late 60s-early 70s rock and blues, but then extended through the folk scene of the 70s and 80s as a solo act. After a hiatus practicing law, Mike returned in the late 90s to writing and recording. Jasmine is a singer/dancer/video editor/model who brings an exciting vocal quality to the mix. Fresh and original, she doesn't overwhelm a song with bombast, nor whisper her way through it. With a voice that can handle almost any kind of music, Jasmine takes the lead on many songs. The harmonic mix of the two makes Blackbirds unique.
