"SQ Magazine Track Review"

Black Bonds – Yesterday

From Brighton alternative rock four piece Black Bonds have an energetic and fresh sound with an old school core. Instantly infectious they have deliciously vibrant and creative guitar lines littered throughout with a constant and strong backline. Vocally Black Bonds are very robust with a harsh rock sound, nonetheless this voice carries melody well. “Yesterday” is a catchy, likeable song that is unpredictable throughout. - SQ Magazine

"RPI-X Factor Review"

James Sparke - Organiser of the 2011 RPI-X Factor Competition:

“As soon as we received Black Bonds’ demo for our competition we knew we had something very special on our hands. Their track “yesterday” sounded energetic, fresh, completely original and became instantly infectious. There were 16 other demos submitted but there was only one tune you were still humming...

When the big night came the guys certainly didn’t disappoint; they blew the doors off of Cargo and stole the show. You can see all the guys love to play and have a good time, this emanates throughout their set and grips the whole audience. Individually they are brilliant musicians but together they play with a slickness that takes years to form- the fact they have only been together since early 2011 is simply astounding. They were unfortunate to only come second in our competition, it was tangible how disappointed the crowd were with the judge’s decision.

I would wish Black Bonds luck but it’s quite obvious with all their talent they aren’t going to need it, all I can say is it was a privilege to have them in our competition. The guys are going to be massive and if they are playing near you, they are an absolute must-see. They won over a lot of fans our gig, I am not too ashamed to say I’m certainly one of them!" - James Sparke - Event Organiser

Still working on that hot first release.
