Blackcatfish consists of 2 TRUE M.C.'s hailing from the southstixxs, better known as Tullahoma, TN. After years of rocks show in small towns and nothing really happening they decided to take their talents to Nashville,TN. They enter a contest called the Urban Music Challenge(UMC) which consist of 8 contestents battling with their RADIO SINGLES. Need less to say, Blackcatfish blew the roof of the building and took home the belt! Known for their energetic stage performances, witty word play, and unforgetable catchy hooks, they quickly became the go-to-guys whenever a promoter wanted the venue pack! The group has traveled from Atlanta, Mississippi,Kentucky,and even Washington D.C. spreading their infectious sound. In Memphis,TN. they entered, and won, a showcase helded by Def Jams Lenny S. Also winners for best performers at the N.I.M.A. Awards, Best group at the Hiphopinthevilleawards, Best out of town Group at the J.M.A, and nominated for Indie Group of the Year at the SEA's. Recently the group "re-invented themselves" and started rocking out with the Live Band! It was a natural fit and opened up a whole new chamber that they like to call the OCEAN Campaign!
