Black Diamond Railway

BandBluesRock

We are the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.

Biography

Black Diamond Railway started with Bill and his love for roots music. From the old Speghetti western country, to blues and folk, they wanted to capture a more modern version with a darker flare that twists your soul. His love for American History, the Frontier, the Gold Rush and just old story telling is partly what drives the lyrics. The songs posted are more or less the tracks that have won the most attention out of audiences although there are several others in various styles. The band grew up in Houston, TX and have played with each other since a young age with all genres including metal. As they got older, the focus was more on the songwriting and playing for themselves rather than trying to impress an audience with vituosity. With an immense passion for music and arts in general, they will be playing until the day they die whether it be for one person, or one million.

"Forever ill be singing" is a good motto for them!

Lyrics

The Cold Winds

Written By: Bill Ledgerwood

Lady with the cheating ways
The black powder in the gun wont save
You said that you loved me then
But you lied to my face, dont do it again

'Cause ill never let a woman get me down

Now what a mess you've made
I waited for you in the desert rain
As I would have always been
But you lied to my face, dont do it again

Dont ever let that woman get you down

(Chorus)
So few who live by daylights design
Never again will I deny the knife in my side
And the years swept away
Wasted with you, in memories
I left you there

Never had a night so cold
One nail and the coffin is closed
Your staring down a gun again
'Cause you lied to my face, dont do it again

Cause i'll never let a woman get me down

(Chorus)

Nevermind apologies, I already watched you drown
And Ill turn my back to you until the cold winds take me down

(Chorus)

Forever

Written By: Bill Ledgerwood

There has never been a reason
I just have it in my soul
Forever ill be singing
I love to lose control
Nothing else compares
Whenever I let go

Lucid is the world, all my troubles seem to float away
Whenever I let go, dance until the break of day

The truth is in the feeling
This music is my pride
Forever I will love you
I never question why
And even if I change
Ill sing until I die

When the days get hard again
And empty pockets weigh me down
Forever ill be happy
Just as long as your around
I could never let you down

Lucid is the world, all my troubles seem to float away
Whenever I let go, dance until the break of day

Singing through the dead of night
Singing to the stars and sky
Sing until the warm sunrise
Sing until the day we die

Never Enough

Written By: Bill Ledgerwood

I work for the man all day
I see all his evil ways
Its a never ending race
And its never enough, never enough
Wear your filthy crown
'Cause one day, one day
One day im gonan take you down

Treat me like a slave
Until I spit it in your face
But its never enough, never enough
Wear your filthy crown
'Cause im gonna take you down

Ill never leave this place
And everything I have done
Is never enough, never enough
Wear your filthy crown
'Cause one day, one day
One day im gonna take you down

Desparate I see you, clinging on to life
The devils reflection, break the reflection
I wil overcome
