Bio
In 1991 a group of eight year olds recorded "Feed the Poor People (...Or I'll F*ck Yo Ass)" at home on a tape recorder. They called themselves Black Dragon. They have not stopped.
In 2008 they unleashed the live act, consisting of seven members who bring a highly musicial eclectic mix of all things funky to their uniquely original songs. Think Talking heads meets P-funk at a party hosted by Weird Al. Sesame Street's on TV and NWA crashes the party. There's a Keith Richards poster on the wall and Peewee Herman walks out of the bathroom. Also, the Beastie boys are our dads and Blondie is the mom.
In the past year Black Dragon has played sold out shows in and around NYC including the Knitting Factory, China Club, and college campuses.
