The Black-eyed Snakes set themselves apart from other primal rock acts (Soledad Brothers, Immortal Lee County Killers, Dirtbombs) with huge beats, cascading guitar riffs, and occasional detours through the 80s noise scene. The band has brought their sound to all corners of the U.S. and Europe and carved out a cultish fanbase along the way.
The Black-eyed Snakes unhinged, manic and muscular live shows tend to throw gasoline on any party. "The jagged edge of his guitar alone could saw through every fiber of your emotional restraint," commented Mellissa Maerz of City Pages in Minneapolis.
