BLACK GOLD is the directing and songwriting and team of Than Luu and Eric Ronick. Well-known as an indie rock duo touring with bands such as the Pixies, Neko Case and Echo & the Bunnymen.

Biography

Black Gold is a NYC-based Alt-Pop-Rock duo made up by Eric Ronick and Than Luu. Their debut album, Rush, feature the single "Shine" which appeared on the soundtrack for Valentine's Day and throughout Europe in a TV commercial for Persil. The band made their national debut TV performance in 2010 performing on the season 7 finale of hit Fox show, So You Think You Can Dance, after their single "Shine" was used weekly on the show that season. They’ve toured nationally with the Pixies, Rooney and Girl in a Coma. They’ve toured Europe with bands such as Panic at the Disco and Neko Case, and have performed on several festivals including All Points West, Laneway throughout Australia and F1 Rocks in Singapore. The band has drawn critical comparisons to MGMT, Death Cab for Cutie and Neon Trees. Black Gold’s new EP is scheduled to release in February 2013.
