black gold gamble are a dublin based rock band comprising of 3 south africans Danie Van Rensburg (lead guitar,backing vocals),Marius Appelgryn (drums,percussion) and Eugene Theron (bass,backing vocals) and dublin born James Smith(vocals,rhythm guitar). The band was formed in late 2008 as a tribute band to kings of leon called knights of leon and have enjoyed huge success travelling the island of ireland and the uk since. in late 2010 they formed black gold gamble and recorded there first e.p in january 2011 at d.j studios Pretoria,South Africa and have since been gaining public interest.although the e.p is great testament to the band it is on the stage where this band cut its teeth and really shine. .
