"Black Guns '06"

"...once they let rip with a concerted guitar carpet bombing there wasn't a dry pair of pants in the room.
Meat and Veg rock it maybe but holy fuck, no three course meal has been this exhilarating."

"Black Guns are a full throttle nuts-in-a-vice guitar arse whipping. Big solos, suitable amounts of hair and
buckets of sweat..."

Jaymz Clements, BEAT MAGAZINE - BEAT Magazine

"Black Guns w/ The Casanovas - Carlton Central Hotel, Geelong"

"Black Guns were incredible, and will be doing their own headline shows soon if talent has ever had anything to do with it. They played hard fast, old fashioned Bogan rock."

"The crowd sure needed that boost of adrenaline, because the room was deader than a mortuary. It looked as though rock and roll had died in this town, but these guys were doing their best to give it mouth to mouth." - The Dwarf www.thedwarf.com.au

"The 'Guns @ The Tote w/ Airbourne"

Like a partially popped blister - the show was short, tight and hot..

But what was delivered was a high energy musical assalt executed with fluidity and muscular playing. .
The energy between the two guitarists Nick 'DD' Black & Tommy 'Guns' Elliot was playful, intense .. packed with energy...

So as the story goes , it was such a short span of time between the launch of their debut EP and the formation of the band.. They've gained a lot of attention and big props from industry folk - primarily suppporting bands such as the Screaming Jets, Airbourne and The Spazzys.

2006 saw the release of a highy anticipated EP 'In The City'.. flogging themselves by performing venue after venue in Melbourne + Interstate.. Black Guns are building a solid reputation as a band that are bloody hardworking... they are!

And the show was non-stop.. superbly expressive singing.. lots of sweat, lots of lunging, lots of long hair.. and that was the band.. in the pit there was a fare deal of black leathers, some very skinny legs belonging to some very old men (veteran rockers p'haps) throwing their fibrous bodies, i imagine there was not a dry gusset in sight. Overall good music and lots + lots of fun. - The Dwarf - www.thedwarf.com.au

Bio

Every once in a while a band comes along that embodies the spirit of Australian rock music. Black Guns is one of those bands. Blistering loud guitars, gutsy riffs and a thundering rhythm section pumping out foot stamping, good time tunes in a hail of sweat soaked energy. A gang of larrikins with a no bullshit attitude, they're not here to re-invent the wheel or pose for your camera they're here to continue the irrepressible musical force that is rock'n'roll.

Hailing from the mean streets of Melbourne the boys have traveled the country slaying audiences far and wide with their energetic live show and rugged charm. They've shared the stage with the cream of Aussie rock including Rose Tattoo, The Angels, The Screaming Jets, The Casanovas, Airbourne and countless others. They've released two successful EP's and appeared at some of Australia's best known festivals and venues. With a killer new live EP about to come out and their debut album slated for release before Christmas this year 2007 is shaping up to be "The Year of The Guns".

Black Guns are primed and ready to fire their salvo of Oz rock riffs into the ears and hearts of punters nationwide.
Get ready to be blown away!
