Coming forth in an explosive mix of melodic tones and gut-fueled angst, and overflowing with party-themed energy that at times borders on chaos, Black Heart Heros brings a new, experimental voice to the table. With a sound ranging from Pop and Rock to Hardcore and Electronica and their electric stage performance, BHH is a force to be reckoned with.
'We’re really proud of “Motel Rage”. It’s our 3rd EP, and while it’s been awesome to get our previous EPs out to our local fans and friends, it’s the first one that we’ve been able to release with a sound that really felt complete and that we’ve been able to push out to a larger audience."
popVLTR: You've been making moves in Connecticut, how'd you get into music? BHH: We’ve all been playing music for most of our lives and most of us have been playing music together since high school. We spent a lot of time in more “traditional” Punk and Hardcore bands in the local scene which is where a lot of BHH’s core sounds come from, but when we created Black Heart Heros, we wanted to create music that was fun to write, play, and listen to, without being too concerned with being tied to any specific genre.
popVLTR: Congrats on 'Motel Rage', who are some of your influences? BHH: We like to pull a lot of different sounds into our music, but some of the bands that are the biggest influences on us are The Bunny The Bear and Atilla, and a little bit of Mindless Self Indulgence always seems to come through. We’re influenced by a few others that people might expect like The Browning and Eskimo Callboy, but whenever possible, we like to pull from unexpected artists that we know will change up our sound a little.
popVLTR: What are some of your proudest moments in music so far? BHH: We’re really proud of “Motel Rage”. It’s our 3rd EP, and while it’s been awesome to get our previous EPs out to our local fans and friends, it’s the first one that we’ve been able to release with a sound that really felt complete and that we’ve been able to push out to a larger audience. Our self-titled EP, which was released last July, got some attention from Music Connection and other publications, but it’s been great to see how much more attention “Motel Rage” has been getting. We love the music we make, and hearing that it’s making a connection with other people really keeps us motivated to keep moving forward.
popVLTR: What cool stuff is on the horizon for Black Heart Heros? BHH: We just dropped “Motel Rage” and we’re excited to be getting it out to absolutely everyone we can through Spotify, iTunes, and as many other outlets as possible. We’re also booking more shows outside of New England and we can’t wait to party with new people and some of our long time fans from other areas. Aside from that, we’re just going to keep writing music and raging out with our amazing fans and friends!

It's only fair since we are featuring The Bunny The Bear that we introduce to you Black Heart Heros even if you've already heard of them. They shared the stage together and they are also unique. They have a tendency to blend melodic rock, a bit of experimentation, dance pop punk and really a collage of interesting sounds to dig a nice foothold in your "interesting" category.
Ranked as the #1 Rock Artist on Reverbnation for S.E. Connecticut (as of this interview) it's no wonder they're pretty noticeable. They are led by Tre Savage on Vocals and Synth, Jeremy Paro on vocals and guitar, Shane Roberts on Bass and Justin Snide on Drums and together they are astounding critics with their energy not on just the recorded songs but on their wacked out, frantic stage performance. They've only been around since early 2011 and have already also shared the stage with Casino Madrid, The Party Foul, Famous Last Words and many more.
Currently, the have 3 EPs, "Just Another Tuesday", "Black Heart Heros" and their latest release in April this year, "Motel Rage". They aren't stopping either. - Hip Rock Magazine
