Eclectic alt-pop, two sisters and their Oohoos, a heartbreaking and electric fairy tale.

Biography

Song for two sisters is the second album from Blackie & The Oohoos, the band around the Maieu Sisters. Their first record on Unday Records has been produced and mixed by indie superstar Pascal Deweze, and what a team they proved to be.
We fell in love head over heels with this heartbreaking and electric fairy tale, dazed by the seductive harmonies and the haunting melodies that characterize their spooky folk and dreamy alt pop songs.
Their alternative pop has a stubborn experimental edge due to the combination of Korg synths and special effects. The sisters will completely overwhelm you with their perfect polyphony.
For those in need of references, Beach House, Beth Gibbons and Mazzy Star might do the trick.

Lyrics

Lovebirds

Written By: Blackie & the Oohoos

Lovebirds

on the wings of a dove
in the palm of your glove
not to soft not to rough
all we need is love
for a nickle or a dime
we can do it anytime

i am a sudden breeze
who stills the twisters in your head
whistle you asleep
give comfort when you're sad

lovebirds thats what we are
lovebirds thats what we are
lovebirds thats what we are
yes we are...

on the wings of a dove
in the palm of your glove
not to soft not to rough
all we need is love
for a nickel or a dime
we can do it anytime

i am your morningsun
a little footpath in the dark
and when you're on the run
i'll be a shelter for your heart

lovebirds thats what we are
lovebirds thats what we are
lovebirds thats what we are
yes we are...
