Blackjack

We are Blackjack. We are Teen-age Band. Our average age is 16-18 years old. We have been performing together as a band for over six years.
We have played in over 150 venues. We started out as a CLASSIC Rock Cover Band playing Motorcycle Rallys, Festivals, Clubs, Charity Fund Raisers, Corporate Events, etc.
We are now putting the final touches on our debute cd which was completely written and composed by Blackjack.
Our Producers are Will Bradford and Brooke Binion of SeepeopleS and Boodub Studios in Asheville NC,
Our Co-producers are Will Holland and Eric EMAN Welsh the co-owners of Chill House Studios in Boston.
We got some outside help from Pete Keys from The Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. Pete recorded on four of our originals.
Our Entertainment Lawyer is Lisa Fortune Moore of The Moore Firm in Atlanta.
We have been featured on TV in the Asheville NC market. The station is a ABC affiliate WLOS-13 Been in both Local Newspapers. Asheville Citizen Time and Hendersonville Times News.
In December 2008 we opened two shows for Legendary Rock-Blues Icon Johnny Winter at Smiths Olde Bar in Atlanta and at The Handlebar in Greenville SC.
YES.....That's the same Winter who performed in The Original Woodstock back in 1969.
We have performed in The Major Shows and Festivals here in the Asheville NC Market.
In June 2011 Blackjack Won The WNC "Western North Carolina" Magazine Last Band Standing Contest and Concert at The Orange Peel. Blackjack was the Youngest Band to Enter and The Youngest Band to ever Win it All.
In July 2011 Blackjack kicked off the Bele Chere Festival in Downtown Asheville.
This coming December 2011 Blackjack will perform in their second Make a Wish Holiday Jam at The Orange Peel. This is Make a Wish 5th Annual Jam.
Rolling Stone Magazine ranks The Orange Peel in their Top Five of the Best Venues in the USA.
Blackjack was selected to perform at The Rockin Riverfest at The French Broad River Park sponsored by Prestige Subaru, 105.9 The Mountain and Musicians Workshop. We beat out much older musicians in this BOTB's.
We also have played at 2009 Bele Chere inside The Asheville Civic Center. Blackjack has played in the 2009 and 2011 LAAFF "Lexington Ave Arts and Fun Festival in Downtown Asheville, at The Urban Trail Block Party, Two Straight Thunder in The Smokies Fall Bike Rallys in Maggie Valley, The Warehouse Live After-Party for the MMA. Six straight NC Apple Festival in Downtown Hendersonville.
Last year we opened for Too Much Sylvia aka SugarCreek. Outside the A'ville Market. Blackjack was selected to perform at MUZAK Heart & Soul - Charlotte Battle of the Bands 2010 at The Neighborhood Theatre and with Gorilla Productions at Tremont Music Hall both in Charlotte NC. Have performed in two Rock This! Rock The Block and The Texas Pete Twin City Ribfest both in Winston-Salem.
