Black Lotus emerged from an impromtu jam session between singer/songwriter Cash Casia Leo and Monte Pittman (guitarist for Madonna and guitarist/bassist to Prong). Cash then recruited drummer Andrew Niven, bass player Kass Saboktakin, and guitarist Alexy Shant Yeghikian to complete the band.
Black Lotus is now in the studio recording their first EP scheduled for a 2009 release.
