Bio
Black Market is an instrumental trio with an emphasis on live performance and improvisation.
With original music combining elements of dub, jazz, rock, reggae, world music, and fusion, Black Market creates an atmospheric, constantly evolving sound.
Formed in early 2003, the trio was originally slated to be a side project for fusion covers by artists such as John Scofield, Miles Davis, and Weather Report. The project then turned into a full time pursuit as the chemistry allowed for many other styles to be explored with intent.
As Black Market continues to evolve, the focus remains on the progression of improvisational music as a collective unit.
