Bio
Black Market Revue is a soul/R&B group based out of Ellensburg Washington. BMR is composed of students/Alumni of Central Washington University's Music department, having all met playing together in various Jazz ensembles. Singer/Guitarist Jack Hughes assembled the group in late 2009 and the band has been performing ever since. Mike Dove on Drums, Jonny Wade on bass, Jack Hughes on guitar/vocals, Tristan Hurd on Trumpet and Kevin Lane on Saxophone.
This group is heavily influenced by artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Stevie Wonder, BB King and Steely Dan. There are not many groups around playing these styles and sounds anymore. Some may think classic soul is passé but BMR knows better. Armed with blistering horn solos, soulful vocals and plenty of groove; Black Market Revue aims to bring great music to the masses.
