Black Medallion

Cedric Hendricks, known as “Black Medallion”, grew up in a tough area in Mobile, Alabama. Black Medallion learned the street code and how to carry himself in a world where only the strong can survive.  He was always drawn to the grind and the hustle of the streets. At a young age he made some poor decisions in his life which landed him in jail.  While incarcerated, he honed his skills as a rapper and writer.

Continually writing and rapping, Black Medallion grew a following in his hometown of Mobile.  In 2008 he was signed with Global Music Group. He also performed in New York City at BBKings at the 2010 Underground Hip Hop Awards and earned the title of Best Southern Rapper. He also came out with a mix tape in 2013 called “Grown Gansta and Gifted”. Black Medallion has performed on stage with artist such as, Webbie, Plies, David Banner, Young Jeezy and other local artist. Black Medallion is currently working on a new single for 2016.

As of April 30, 2016 Yungg V's single, Successful, ft. Black Medallion is No. 186 on the DRT National Airplay Top 200 Chart, No. 25 on the DRT National Airplay Top 100 Independent Chart and No. 8 on the DRT National Airplay Top 50 Hip Hop Chart and has remained on these charts for ten weeks.

Black Medallion and Yungg V performed at the Mississippi Coliseum Crawfish Festival, Sunday, April 24, 2016 along with Mystikal, Juvenile, Choppa, and 5th Ward Weebie.
