"3.5 Stars"

Mostly a speed-punk/metal record with uncharacteristically laid back vocals, is high-energy embodied, with rumbling lows and squealing highs. The surprisingly slower Into Forever shows off the bands talent for riff-based tunes that aren’t at blazing speeds, and the faithfulness to headbangability is impressive. - Origivation Magazine

Bio

Raised on the early releases of Black Sabbath and Metallica, Black Moon is a riff heavy, metal band on speed. Their sound is a defiant nod to the roots of metal while also containing elements of hardcore, doom metal and even punk. This meld of genres comes across naturally and Black Moon manages to do so without falling into sub-genre categories like metalcore.

The band's debut recording was released on DRP Records and Overdose On Records in June of 2006. The release was followed by successful touring, rotation on [major] regional radio stations, ample online sales and positive reviews. Shortly after the album's release Black Moon's drummer left the band. Being a founding member, his departure left the future of the group uncertain. In July of 2007 the band finally recruited drummer Rich Buffum.

Black Moon began tracking songs in August of 2007 for their next release. Demos from that release are available on the band's myspace now.
