Back in the early part of the decade, there were three metal bands that ruled the roost in the Omaha scene: Downshift, Fornever, Idle Apathy, and Trippin' Default. Each band having much regional success, certain members had a desire to work with each other. Dan (downshift), Scott (fornever), and Josh (Idle Apathy) started writing together on acoustic guitars on front porches. The music that was being written was more of a representation of where each musician wanted to go musically, and the decision was made to formally form Black on High, or more commonly referred to as 'B.O.H.'.
After playing with multiple drums from other projects, Dale Steinhoefel came on board, and took the music to another level.
With a back catalog of 60+ songs, the first show was played in August of 2008 to much local acclaim.
B.O.H. has since play with metal and rock bands, played acoustic shows, and played in stores at Hot Topic locations within the region.
