Musicians,Poets, Playwrights, Showmen. Black Orchard started in the living room of Harold Green's home. He and poem/play writing partner Malari Tilford started rocking poetry sets and local shows in Chicago. Styles soon joined them on drums and shortly thereafter, a band was formed. The lyrics are written for the party minded as well as the socially conscious. The music is arranged by some of the most in demand young musicians on the Chicago scene today. These players have performed on Grammy winning sessions and in live performance settings with some of the best and brightest Pop,R&B, Gospel, and Jazz artists of this generation. Their sound reflects the influences of hip-hop,jazz, hard rock, and pop, but they don't sound like anyone else. It's not a jam band, but a band that jams. The jams occur within the 5 or 6 minutes of each song. Black Orchard is the sound of right now, and right next.
