Enter the Forbidden Zone:
Black Sash Assassins: the dynamic hip hop group composed of Megadon, Widget and Rigamortis. They represent the future; the new wave of hip hop influence; the completion to the cycle. “Hip hop began in the east, was popularized with the emergence of the west and is know being exploited with the introduction of the south” says Megadon. “It’s only natural that the next destination is north” he continued, “then eventually internationally”.
The key to this potential new hip hop scene is to identify what creates a new scene in hip hop. It was born in New York and developed a sound revolving around consciousness and self expression. The west introduced people to gangster music and funk based production. The south which currently dominates hip hop, concentrates on marketing and dance friendly music.
Take all these factors that created the culture and evolution of hip hop and combined. In other words combine conscious and intelligence with the rugged appeal of gangster rap and the powerful marketing strategies of present rap industry. If these elements are combined correctly than the product would be called Black Sash. Imagine, amazing production with stimulating lyrics and perfect flow patterns. Topics that make you think and dance at the same time with outstanding production to mesmerize and stimulate the mind with constant entertainment.
So how do you create a new hip hop scene? The answer is simple; provide the audience with a perfect package.
