Bio

Arthur had a plethora of ideas for songs, but had a problem finding a drummer who could compliment his style. Through the grapevine, he heard about Ryan who was a studio session drummer at the time and gave him a call. When they began playing together, there was an instant chemistry between the two. They worked with a singer for awhile, but it ended up not working out. At that time, Arthur believed that the band was no more. Ryan, on the other hand, had his best friend, Emily, in mind. Even though she had never sang in front of anyone but her closest friends, he gave it a shot. Emily agreed and they began working together in December of 2007. All three musicians clicked instantly.

We bring to the table three different musical backgrounds collaborating as one whole. Our music joins jazz, metal, and melodic vocals plus vicious screaming to form a unique combination. Arthur’s metal guitar riffs are infused with Ryan’s jazz percussion beats separating them from most rock bands out there. Emily’s lyrics are derived from the personal struggles she has overcome throughout her life. They possess the power to touch every soul that’s ever been troubled or hurt and gives them hope for a better future. We write music and lyrics with the hope that people are able to relate. We want people with the same struggles and problems that are shown through Emily’s lyrics to feel that they’re not alone. Music, to us, has the potential to heal someone’s pain. If we touch even just one person with our music, we feel like we’ve done our job.

The bands that have influenced us include Flyleaf, Incubus, Tool, Pink Floyd, Yes, Rush, Within Temptation, Cradle of Filth, Lamb of God, Slayer, Arch Enemy, Paramore, Otep, Evanescence, System of a Down, Chiodos, The Police, CSNY, Circa Survive, and countless others.

Arthur and Ryan have recorded and toured professionally with various bands for the last decade or so. Although Emily has never toured, she’s done professional studio work and has been published for some of her literary works.
