"Blues Night Out Series"

Hello Johnny, Rick and Dave. Just a quick and belated, (but sincere) thanks for your performance as the opening act for Joe Louis walker. You were the first act to appear in the Blues Night Out Series and you started it off right. Just the way we want the rest of the shows to go. Your stage presence was professional, the song selection perfect and the performance was executed with style and finesse. In other words you kicked butt! The show was a rousing success and you guys were a big part of it. Everyone had a good time and I had many good and positive comments made to me on your set.
My apologies for the hassle with the sound. Wish we had our act together as much as you. You pulled us out of a hole with your musicianship. As Joe commented "Stuff happens, but why does it happen with my show?" He relaxed considerably when your set started and got things hopping. Thanks again and don't hesitate in using me as a reference as I have stated before.

Sincerely, John Miles-Founder, Midnight Blues Society - The Midnight Blues Society - John Miles, President

"Letter to Black Slax"

Dear Johnny and members of Black slax, this is just a short note to thank you for the excellent job you did at our New Years Eve party, both personally and on behalf of the Midnight Blues Society. It turned out to be major fun and it was mostly due to your great showmanship that set the tone for the night. I must say I really enjoyed your performance. As you may have noticed I ended up dancing the night away, good mix of cover and blues tunes all well done. Not being a musician I really did'nt notice who did what, I just know as a member of the audience I sure liked what I heard. To me that's what's important in a good performance, when it just comes together to make great music. I see a great future for your band and I look forward to working and listening to you in the future.

"Midnight Blues Society News Letter"

NEWS YEARS EVE PARTY
Midnight Blues Society's first New Years Party took place at the Wild Hare Saloon in Chico. Black Slax started things off on the right foot. Johnny Rodriguez is featured on bass and back-up vocals . Rick Bernasconi is on guitar and doing lead vocals. Dave Lynch was featured on drums. Black Slax played one and a half hot sets. There music is a combination of blues, rock, rockabilly, oldies, surf and classic rock and a touch of soul. Johnny and Dave provided a solid rhythm section for Rick's guitar work which was exemplory. The rhythm was solid and the solos were intense and exciting. Watch for them around town. - Steve Rubensein
