"Impressive Rock CD!"

“Big Song” by the trio known as BlackStar is a lively collection of hard-driving rock songs. Defined by tastefully overdriven electric guitars and catchy melodies, this album boasts appeal to fans of both hard and soft rock. A varying pace keeps things interesting on “Big Song,” casting down any notions of predictability. “New Bedford” and “Day Dreams” stand out as deeply emotional power ballads, demonstrating BlackStar’s diversity. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this CD is the grinding vocals. Unwaveringly powerful and captivating, the vocals on “Big Song” are remarkably refreshing and addictively toned. Additionally, well-told tales of love and heartbreak define the lyrical atmosphere of this assembly. Solidifying this package is totally professional production that allows the CD to bring out a clear sound for this very tight band! Fans of rock bands such as Counting Crows will enjoy this CD. In one sentence, “Big Song” is an impressive rock CD full of hook-filled, powerful tracks! - Xavier P. and RadioIndy
