When we hear a great record over the airwaves we often pay little attention to the journey behind it! Often prior to that hit record is a story of struggle, challenges, and triumph. In an increasingly difficult industry it’s a breath of fresh air when genuine talent lands on your doorstep. In 2009 Black Steel Rose crashed through my doorstep in a JCB! I was definitely listening says Danny Hughes Of Redbull Uk. Black Steel Rose was founded about a year and a half ago by Marco Mancini (the lead singer, writer and producer of the band). He was born to do music and grew up in a family of musicians. Marco got his first record deal at the age of 13 and was primarily doing R & B (even wrote a song that went Gold for a female artist in Europe).

Over the last two years they've continued to garner fans around the world as well as press and radio play. Black Steel Rose Smashed the stages at the Bamboozle 09, Coronado Speed Fest, City Of Lights Festival, House Of Blues, Viper Room, CMJ in NYC, SXSW TX, Whisky, Key Club, Retox, Pure LV and Juno Music Fest, Germany, France, China etc. Over seventy shows in 2009. Black Steel Rose sold over 36 thousand copies Independently.
With its heartfelt and dynamic hybrid of alternative rock, swagger-laced R&B and thought provoking lyrics, Black Steel Rose see the bands potential to transcend musical barriers and touch people from all walks of life. Their influences include, U2, Duran Duran, Linkin Park, Incubus, Sting, & Journey, among many others. With their all encompassing sound, and broad vision, the band has been building a movement throughout the Los Angeles rock scene, while also getting spins on college radio through out the country and independently selling their album on iTunes. The Band Black Steel Rose symbolizes hope and music for a cause not just for profit. It is a symbol of change.
