Blackswan

Time travel does not exist today, but the future is uncertain. If a particular path remains constant, as far fetched as it sounds, gigantic robotic life forms will eventually threaten humanity. Future humans will propose to reach beyond physics and fold space, catapulting themselves into the near past with hopes of preserving all that they have become. Blackswan is a record of their attempt. Its all bullshit, but you can call it entertainment.

We are Blackswan -- one word. It was quite a challenge securing ourselves a suitable title. We knew that it had to reflect our seriousness, intensity, and favor of darkness -- but at the same time have a sophistication and comfort to it -- an elegance that complimented our love of intelligence and tact. The term Blackswan held a very appropriate meaning as well, so it wasn't difficult agreeing on it. We looked it up, and almost magically it described our position as a band: an unlikely happening that defies chance and convention; Something of great consequence occurring without warning.

We are not a jam band. We think of our selves as artists. We most certainly have an affinity with Rock n Roll. After playing in several extremely different bands, we are now attempting to write and play music that belongs to the present, instead of showing some tired flabby appreciation for things done and over with.
