"Now we're having fun"

Now we're having fun... BLACK TONGUE sent "Thriller!!!". Homespun gutter rock that throws with the best of 'em, eighteen wheel heavy guitars and vocals to die for. Lovely stuff that's not afraid to go too far, great songs for your fucked up life.

"Black Tongue's lick it up the 19th"

Searching for that perfect band name? Take something pleasent, or at least common; Religious holidays, nouns, especially body parts, add the prefix denoting an absence of light and damn if that doesn't sound pretty dope. Speaking of dope, if your looking to move some product head to this show, by the looks of them you might sell out supplying the band alone! And if that weren't enough motivation to get out to this lower east side club this saturday, this band promises to play loud fast rock music that borrows from all the right places. Sure that riff is totally from "War Pigs" and sure that melody is off "Attitude" but god damnit, those guys are like 60 now so keep your mind in the present and flail wildly. Playing July 19th at LIT Loungue. - www.thedelimagazine.com

Bio

This year marks the fifth year Anniversary since the inception of the band and are celebrating with the release of five songs, entitled Thriller!!!. It also marks the return of their drummer who had been studying in for Asia for the better half of a year. Since the drummer’s arrival back in the States they are now feeling reborn and are currently working on new material that will be ready to record this fall. At the same time they are playing shows around New York and the east coast.

Black Tongue began more as an excuse to hang out rather than as an actual band. Made up of record-heads who are good friends that enjoy each other’s company so much that rehearsals often, even to this day are filled with more conversation than actual songs. So much so that they are still tempted to change the name to Black Tongue Social Club. This is the main testament to why the band has been able to stay together despite hiatus’ member changes and people moving to different cities.
