With Black/Death Metal influences, the band known as BLACK TRIP was formed in
Mexico City in 1997. It started out as a studio project for guitarist/songwriter
Gennaro Ammendola, with producer and drummer, Victor "Gizmo" Reza of Mexico's
most acclaimed metal band, MAKINA, recording and drumming the sessions, with Armando Castellanos on Bass Guitar.
The result was a four song demo that was released in the fall of 1999.
It is all out Death/Trash in the old style, a lot like DEICIDE or CANNIBAL CORPSE,
with its own style and definite tightness. The demo was circulated on a small
scale and managed to establish BLACK TRIP as a metal band. By the fall of 2000,
BLACK TRIP's music expanded to include influences of Black/Death Metal, Speed Metal,
Power Metal, and Trash. Now with the addition of Cepi on Lead Guitar from GUATEMALA and Nate on Bass Guitar from READING MASSACHUSETTS, BLACK TRIP continues to evolve and remains commited to bring pure metal and a message to their audience.
