Deborah showed up early that morning for band rehearsal. There was the routine cigarettes and coffee before getting started. Dru was not quite ready for the weekend to be over and was slumped excessively over his coffee cup in his least dirty black t-shirt. “Hmmm,” Deborah remarked queerly. “Looks like another black t-shirt Monday.” Dru nodded, rocked a little to the sound of it and practice soon ensued. With that one line running through his head he picked up his trusty guitar over the next few days and kept humming to himself. “Just another black t-shirt Monday. Soon the song was complete and the duo had a new song for their repertoire. As the search continued for additional musicians a name was needed for Albuquerque’s most relentless new band. Why not call it Black T-Shirt Monday, after all we already have a theme song we can play in 5 different styles and three different keys, and so they did and so it was.
