Black T.Y.E. Entertainment, founded by artists “L’s”, Jewell Jackson, and “Dell”, Rydell Ursin. The extended body of the label includes” Lady Envy”, Natasha Diggs, “Terry G”, Terry Lewis, and “Digg”, Joshua Diggs, Black T.Y.E. is an acronym for Talented Young Entrepreneurs. It is home to rap & hip-hop, r&b & soul, pop, and freestyle genres. All members originating from a small town in Louisiana known as Lutcher, but as stated by Columbia Records A&R Chris Fizzle, “This is definitely one of the best self organized labels I have heard in a long time”.
The purpose of this bio is to present ourselves to the music industry not only as music artists, writers, composers, and producers but also as business men and women. At this present we are finishing our collaboration album titled “Black T.Y.E. Presents”. The album is in introduction for all artists on the label to show their style and ability as an individual artist, while also retaining the ability to collaborate with our colleagues. In June we are holding a promotional event called “Splash”. “Splash” is our way of giving back to the community as well as incurring on more fan base support.
Our company started with an idea and a piece of paper. From there we started being proactive, capitalizing on every financial and artistic opportunity available. Even now we still understand that we have much more growing to do and we definitely will. The remaining members of Black T.Y.E are also long time friends who understand the nature of our work as well as our goal as a label. As stated in our song Live My Life, “our work ethic strong and we pushing on non-stop, we are our own support system realizing we won’t all make it to the top”. As a label we understand the business, but as a family we still support each other.
As stated by local New Orleans artist Euricka, “These artist definitely have an industry sound, I see them going places”. Black T.Y.E. Entertainment definitely has a lot to offer the music industry, we are still growing and bettering ourselves as artist as well as business professionals. Black T.Y.E. Entertainment will make a statement in the music industry.
