"Black Vendetta EP Cigarettes, alcohol, love and Injustice"

Cigarettes, Alcohol, Love and Injustice is the new four track EP by soloist Black Vendetta, although he is a soloist he gets additional artists to provide sounds to bolster his own style, which is great as it means his work is not become repetitive or taxing to the listener.

As an artist you can hear in the way he plays the guitar that there is a mirage of youthful exuberance, but in the way the tracks have been put together it has a feel of someone who has been in the game a while, yet his tender years dictate that this is not so.

Honestly each track is very different from the last the vocals of the female guest singer are strong in each track, this is what leads me to the conclusion that Black Vendetta would be a great sessions player as this is him putting together sounds, lyrics. For me producing, an independent label would be the avenues I would suggest as he has powerful lyrics, which he is happy for someone else to sing and very talented when it comes to arranging.

In the likes of session players you could say he has the sound and imagination of a subdued Larry Carlton and Duane Allman. I hope in future that they do push on as a band because the sound they make especially in ‘Death of an Angel,’ has great lyrics, great riffs and instrumentals most like Letters to Cleo it puts this young man on the Unsigned Map.

I hope Black Vendetta does decide to do one or all of these things because he is onto something special and it would be a waste to walk away from any of these decisions.

Bio

Hello and welcome to what is essentially a wall of sound and narrative mind fuck. I am Black Vendetta, my real name is Nathan Virica but it is my firm belief that Black Vendetta sounds better and is easier for most people to pronounce (For the last time, my surname is just pronounced exactly how it's spelt!) I am a 23 year old songwriter and rhythm guitarist, originally from North Yorkshire (Harrogate to be precise) I spent a good 3 years of my life in bands, one of which was a particular corker and I was within touching distance of making it work, and in the end it was only drummers, bassists, singers, lead guitarists, venues, people in general, circumstances in general, life in general and my location at the time that prevented me from achieving this. School predictably failed and thereafter finding little else in Harrogate other than the guy who plays Marlon in Emmerdale (who is a truly miserable bastard if you ever happen to see him in real life!) and a truly shit nightclub known as the moko lounge I decided to come to London and change my strategy along the way. I am now a solo artist (but I kept the band name I so beautifully crafted back in 2007 :)), using guest singers for the purposes of live performance. Enthralled by the story of my past? No? Didn't think so. But feel free to listen to my songs and sample their many delights. If topic matters such as depression, alienation, rejection, recreational drug misuse, failure, crippling anxiety disorders and the occasional reference to death float your boat then my word do I have a treat for you!
