Biography

When I was young I always had a love of music. I grew up in a ghetto, an urban neighborhood, and it became clear from an early age that music is what tames the savage beast. Production is like wizardry: it makes people happy, it makes people sad...it has a profound effect on people.

Growing up, I was inspired by great artists like the Spinners, Magic, The Stylistics, Loose Ends...and great producers like Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Quincy Jones, George Clinton and Zapp and Rogers.

I started out just like anyone else and worked my way up from the bottom, learning my equipment and the skills required to become a good producer.

We're from New Jersey, specifically from the Monmouth County area. I started Black Wizard Entertainment mainly because of my love of music, but also because I saw the lack of respect and exposure for New Jersey artists.

Most of the airplay and promotion on the East Coast goes towards New York artists. I do have mad love and respect for many producers and MCs out of New York - I love Nas for his great metaphors, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes for their great showmanship and flow...if it wasn't for New York there would be no hip hop. However, there are a lot of haters out there who don't give Jersey artists their due.

We're not just talking about New Jersey; there are a lot of artists whose talent is overlooked because of what state they're from. I've gotta give respect to the South, as they always look their artists out and show love. Consequently it's that kind of unity that shows why hip hop artists from ATL, New Orleans, Houston, they're all on top of the charts right now.

There are a lot of New Jersey producers, MCs, vocalists, and writers out there that are just as good as their counterparts in New York, if not better. It's our time to make our voices heard, showcase our talent, and represent for Jersey.

Turn Around

Written By: M.K. "Styles" Tsui

Turn Around
Performed by Nicole
Lyrics and Arrangement by M.K. Styles
Produced by Jason "J-Dub" Whitley & Troy
----------------------------------------------------------

[Verse 1]
It's 3 A.M., I sit alone, waiting for you to come back home
The room is silent but I hope I hear the ringing of the phone
I don't know what you're doin, who you with, or where you are tonight
It all resulted from the way I acted, know I wasn't right

[Refrain]
Tell me what I've got to do to show you the lessons that I've learned
If you give me another chance, I'll treat you like you deserve
And I know that these are consequences, for actin' like a fool
For how many times did I go out and do this to you?

[Chorus]
Turn around, and come back home to me
Cause I'm half of what I used to be, so bring your lovin back to me
And I've made mistakes cause I was blind, but now I see
I never knew the way I hurt you, could turn around on me

[Verse 2]
So many times I went out, had a good time, chillin at the club
Left you alone, all by yourself, I took advantage of your love
Your friends are tellin me to stay away and find another man
Although I've made mistakes I know that she can't love you like I can

[Refrain]
Tell me what I've got to do to show you the lessons that I've learned
If you give me another chance, I'll treat you like you deserve
And I know that these are consequences, for actin' like a fool
For how many times did I go out and do this to you?

[Bridge]
I count the minutes, count the hours, ticking steadily
Hoping you'll find your way back to me eventually
Can we unfade the pictures, turn around the hands of time
Let's go back to the days when I was yours and you were mine

[Chorus]
Turn around, and come back home to me
Cause I'm half of what I used to be, so bring your lovin back to me
And I've made mistakes cause I was blind, but now I see
I never knew the way I hurt you, could turn around on me

Don't walk away, just turn around, and come back home to me... (X4)

That's Me

Written By: Sincere-The Poet

Track: That's Me
Album: I Think, Therefore I Write...Easy
-----------------------
Written, Performed, and Arranged by Sincere-The Poet
Produced by Jason "J-Dub" Whitley

[scratched samples repeat throughout beat]
Sincere! The Poet!
Black Wizards!
The last of a Dyin' Breed!
Dark City!

Get at me! Get at me!
Sincere! The Poet!
The last of a Dyin' Breed!
Fuck you nigga! Fuck you nigga!

That's me!

[Chorus]
The voice that you're hearin' in that sample, That's Me
The verses, the adlibs, the hook, That's Me
The one who took the time to bring it to you, That's Me
And the beat? J-Dub, get it right, not me!

[Verse 1]
I feel the weight of my future, bearing down on me
And because of my past, some things are hindering me
For me to write it, gotta go back and fight it, then choose to rewrite it
Later on, cut, mic it, so you could see how my life is
these lessons be priceless, matter o' fact, bigger vices
but you can't change the past, now you see what my plight is?
I'm the one that be under the gun
Not number one, but I show you how to do this, son!
I'm a man, I'ma play these cards up in my hand
To understand, when there's drama, I advise and plan
So know when to witness where shit was our man
Till I divided a sedan and started hittin ya man
You had been cut me around but little hope of escape
You a flake, a bitch nigga, type in jail to get raped
Lightweight, talkin' big shit, for goodness sake
Don't hesitate, when I come through to erase your FACE!

[Chorus]
The voice that you're hearin' in that sample, That's Me
The verses, the adlibs, the hook, That's Me
The one who took the time to bring it to you, That's Me
And the beat? J-Dub, get it right, not me!

The voice that you're hearin' in that sample, That's Me
The verses, the adlibs, the hook, That's Me
The one who took the time to bring it to you, That's Me
And the beat? J-Dub, get it right, not me!

[Verse 2]
I won't rest, till I'm The One like Neo in the Matrix
And you could put you up on top, I just erase 'em
Replace 'em, they won't be walkin' back when I mace 'em
I'm so backwards, I drink liquor after the chaser
This niggas chasers, the only time I 'chase her'
When I fuck her from the back and she runnin' in to thank ya
Witness how Black Wizard and The Poet change his game, how you know it
Hold up, I'm just gonna change how I'm flowin'
I'm on my grizzy, in my grizzy, keepin' me busy, so busy
Family members whisperin', "Really? How is he, how is he?"
I'm sick to my stomach, cause these niggas don't listen
They don't listen, why is it? Fuck it, I just give 'em the business
Make it your business, to never challenge me to a finish
Cause I will bring it to an end, B, here's what my ends mean
People sprintin' up the block, like a damn track meet
And I will do whatever just to make these ends meet

Sincere! The Poet!
Black Wizards!
The last of a Dyin' Breed!

[Verse 3]
Yo, change gonna come in a matter of time
I'm not the next nigga, (nah!) but I be cuttin' in line
Stay the fuck out my face, get out on ya grind
Now step to the left, don't be wastin' my time
Cause I can't get back wasted time, it's a crime
Life ain't a track, that I can stop and rewind
My bad, the timin' was fine, I'm not punchin' that line
And with God as my producer, I'm one up on Lucifer
Though I'm in a weakened stage, and my face be bruisin' up
I'm only gettin' tighter, this is hell and I'm burnin' up
I'm bout to roll the weed up, you wanna smoke, nigga? (Yup!)
This hood, mom dukes, really, what's good?
Christine, what's up? Uncle D, what's up?
A.Q., what's up? And to my twin, what's up?
And when it's time to war, no doubt, they gonna strap up
And bust them shots, you wanna war, what's up?
I got more than enough of a gang that'll back you up
Sincere the Poet, keep a nigga Jigga the size of a sword
That'll leave you bleedin' and lyin' as stiff as a board
Just try me, anybody, you'll be meetin' the Lord
Now I'm done talkin' tough, nowadays it's just boring me
Continue unknowingly, thinking you knowin' me
You can't outwit me with this fire, nigga stop blowin' me
Or I'ma make it apparent you don't got it for me whenever you...

Get at me! Get at me!
Sincere! The Poet!
The last of a Dyin' Breed!
Fuck you nigga! Fuck you nigga!

[Chorus]
The voice that you're hearin' in that sample, That's Me
The verses, the adlibs, the hook, That's Me
The one who took the time to bring it to you, That's Me
And the beat? J-Dub, get it right, not me!

Stay

Written By: Barbadu feat. Barry B.

Track: Stay
Album: The Superhuman Theorem
-----------------------
Written and Performed by Barbadu featuring Barry B.
Produced by Jason "J-Dub" Whitley

[Barbadu]
Uhh, uh-huh
Come on
Black Wizard Production, let's go
Barbadu, yeah, Barry B., come on
I know you wanna stay, so let's go

[Barry B.]
There's something you need to know
I need to go
Without them G's to blow
I feel just like I'm breathin' slow
I can't waste no time
I've gotta be on my grind
Touch some of mine
And get whatever comes to mind

Stay........
She said, "why won't you stay with me?"
I already know
She don't want me to go
She need me to stay......
She said "why won't you stay with me?"
I figured it out
What it's all about

[Barbadu]
It been a long time comin' and I'm here to stay
Probably thought that I would fall off, but I'm okay
See, I stay on point, and I stay all about mine
Stay wit my joint, stay away from the po' nine
Times I could have popped off, right in the club
Coulda had your man chopped up, right in the tub
But I don't hold no grudge, stay real in every city I'm in
Wit a committee of the grittiest men
Stay loco never, lay low, so better
Now that I done got acquainted with this cheddar
You better off stayin' lost, you need to get it together
Man, it costs to be the boss, so I bought the Beretta
When the show is all over, man, what do they say?
When we blow up on tour, man, they want you to stay
Look, this is the day, by all means, there's no need to pray
I'm like "Calgone, take me away"

[Barry B.]
There's something you need to know,
I need to go
Without them G's to blow
I feel just like I'm breathin' slow
I can't waste no time
I've gotta be on my grind
Touch some of mine
And get whatever comes to mind

Stay........
She said, "why won't you stay with me?"
I already know
She don't want me to go
She need me to stay......
She said "why won't you stay with me?"
I figured it out
What it's all about

[Barbadu]
And if I stay, would it pay off? You better take it all off
Her nice eyes, so thick, and plus her ass soft
Pass off, I'm only here to smash off
We stay in customs and classics, take the mask off
A pretty honeybunny, stay around where's money
Stay focused on cars and any crib comfy
An' stuntin' me, just to see her stay up under me
Until she tell me her problems, the way she wanna be
She wanna stay with the Barba, stay away from the stalkers
Stay listenin' like I was her father
So I tell her "stay in school", I don't wanna be bothered
Now her attitude really made her call me a monster, I got her
To where she say "I love you daddy"
So the recipe for stayin' is cry and be happy, I'm nasty
And won't let that bullshit pass me
So you ladies stay focused on the O.G. classic, blast it

[Barry B.]
There's something you need to know,
I need to go
Without them G's to blow
I feel just like I'm breathin' slow
I can't waste no time
I've gotta be on my grind
Touch some of mine
And get whatever comes to mind

Stay........
She said, "why won't you stay with me?"
I already know
She don't want me to go
She need me to stay......
She said "why won't you stay with me?"
I figured it out
What it's all about

Nothing that you can say
I'm leavin' anyway
Keep talkin', cause I'm walkin', and stop beggin me to stay
Stay......stay with me
I figured it out, what it's all about

[adlibs until fade out]
