Bio

Black Zodiac began in January 2002 as a musical outlet for Mayelin. Around this time Mayelin employed Aaron to collaborate musically, and complete project objectives. By doing so they found they had the same influences such as Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, and Slayer, this promted them to work together full-time.

By March 2002 the initial goal of Black Zodiac was reached with the release of a four song demo Love In Darkness.

With much attention from various record companies, a agreement was reached with Anand Bhatt at Sonic Wave International in February 2004.

Black Zodiac began and completed the recording of their debut album Psychotic Hatred at Dow Studios in Seffner, FL with Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez (Morbid Angel co-producer). The album was released on May 18,2004 to be distributed world wide. They also completed a video for their next single "Love In Darkness" which is currently being solicited to the major networks and other national video programs. The album has also been promoted by Jon Flanagan at Flanagan Promotions. Through promoting, Black Zodiac has been added to 250 college and commercial radio stations nation wide in the U.S., as well as having CMJ charting.

With their line-up complete, Black Zodiac plans to continue performing to promote their debut album through out 2005.

Black Zodiac approaches their art differently than most of their contemporaries. They focus on the whole picture. Taking into consideration image, music, lyrical content, and performance all aranged to fit together in harmony. They look to be above the standards in metal today, by keeping the lyrics clean and enlightening. They also extract musical influences outside of metal genre while still being true to the roots of the style. With Mayelin's vocal power in combination with unrestricted musical vision. There will be no end to Black Zodiac.
