Blake Di Gangi

Blake Di Gangi writes a fusion of upbeat catchy rock songs with a simple and edgy

composition, yet dark and complex lyrical content stemming from his past experiences.

Blake began writing music while attending the art institute of Portland in 2009. After

moving to Brooklyn,  New York in 2010 to focus on music he began the foundation for

his debut album Nightmares, which he and fellow musician Jason Fisch (drums) began

collaborating on in Irvine, CA in the summer of 2013. After Jason and his wife relocated

to Northern, AZ in the summer of 2014 Blake and fellow vocalist Steven Bowling

followed shortly behind to write and record a side project titled “Dirty Creatures”. 

Shortly after recording Blake returned home to Riverside, California to focus on his solo

album Nightmares which is currently in the recording process accompanied by Jason

Fisch on drums. Love and hate, addiction and sobriety, good and evil, Blake delivers a

powerful and gritty message through provocative and cryptic metaphors as well as

through play on words and yin and yang. Coining the term “Fear Pop” Blake highlights

this themed feeling of ambivalence. With lighthearted sing-along style compositions

accompanied by an ominous thought provoking message and vice versa, he’ll have you

singing along without ever having heard the songs before. His musical influences are that

of Lou Reed, Violent Femmes, Ramones, and The Rivera’s, giving off an all American

rock n roll sound that intertwines both east coast and west coast styles together. Classic,

raw, and soulful, Blake’s fresh new take on what it means to be a rock n roller in the 21st

century will be sure to have your hand on the repeat button and your fist in the air.
