Bio

Singer-songwriter Blake Addyson grew up in Oklahoma where, from a young age, it became apparent he had a musical gift. He began playing the guitar at age twelve and three short years later he stumbled upon what would be his life passion. At age fifteen, Blake Addyson wrote his first song, “Too Young Too Proud”, which a few months later was used in the independent short film “Sombrero Girl,” written and directed by Jason Floyd. The film debuted at the Dead Center Film Festival, and Blake Addyson played the private showing a few days prior for cast and family. It was his first public performance, and that sparked a passion for performing his orginal music. His musical career began to snowball and Blake Addyson started a band, “Addyson” in late 2005, that obtained moderate success in the greater Oklahoma City area, opening for regional as well as larger local acts. After writing and recording three demo cd’s from 2006-2009, the band disbanded in July 2009. Blake Addyson decided to pick up, leave Oklahoma to move to Austin TX, armed only with a demo and strong will, while leaving behind family, friends, and fans to submerge himself in the musical world of Austin, TX hoping to re-emerge as the best singer-song writer he could be, as to touch more people with his music.
