Blake Davis

Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, singer / songwriter Blake Davis began his musical journey when he was just a young child. Blake has been writing songs since age 9 and picked up guitar at age 14. “I think it's true when people say that they have always known what they wanted to be, because I have always known…I want to be up on that stage pouring my heart out to the audience”. Leaving North Little Rock after high school with his southern charm still firmly in tow, Blake made his way out to Los Angeles in search of his dream.

In his remarkably short time in Los Angeles, Blake’s incredible gift for performing and songwriting has garnered attention from some of the most talented and legendary music producers in the city. Blake is currently working with producer Mark Jackson (Suga Free, Josh Kelley, Pete Yorn, Mint Condition, Ice Cube, PJ Olsson, Busta Rhymes, and Carmen Elektra) who is also taking on the roll of music supervisor/ lead guitarist for Blake. Blake has also worked with the likes of Grammy winning producers Ron Dante (Barry Manilow, Cher, John Denver, Irene Cara, Pat Benetar), as well as John Capek (Rod Stewart, Chicago, Donna Summer, Little River Band, Dan Hill, Joe Cocker). Blake has recently been in talks with friend Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera, Faith Hill, Jewel, Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, Robbie Williams, Melissa Etheridge, Sierra Swan, Vanessa Carlton and Enrique Iglesias) who plans on working with Blake sometime later this year.

Blake's upcoming album (presently in the mixing stages, with legendary producer/ mixer Brian Reeves), borrows an essence of the lost musicianship of the 70's blues and rock era mixed with a freshness for today’s fans.

His yet untitled debut album includes a red carpet-worthy collection of famed musicians such as legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Joe Cocker, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Christina Aguilera, Chris Botti, Andrea Bocelli) drummer Dave Salinas (Melissa Etheridge, The Mavericks, Josh Kelley), lap / steel player Ben Peeler (The Wallflowers, Shakira, Josh Kelley, Shelby Lynn), keyboardist Seth Stuart (Josh Kelley), guitarist Mark Jackson (Josh Kelley, Pete Yorn, Mint Condition, Ice Cube, PJ Olsson, Busta Rhymes, Carmen Elektra) guitarist Daniel Damico (The Calling, Joanna Picitti, Earth Wind and Fire), hit song writer/bassist Guy Erez (Ryan Cabrera, PJ Olsson, Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Cory Britz (The Calling, Lindsey Lohan, Eurythmics). The album is set to be completed sometime in 2006.

Aside from Blake’s amazing live show, he is also busy using his gift of songwriting. The Team (a company he co-founded with producer Mark Jackson and Ian Scott), have been writing songs for many major artists and TV/movie studios. The Team currently has three songs placed with Jewelry (the #1 selling, multi-platinum group in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan) one being the song: "Yeah,Yeah" which is slated to be their first single. The Team recently placed a song with MTV’s new hit show: The Hills, starring Laguna Beach’s LC; and has written/ or is currently writing for teen stars Haley Duff, Brenda Song, Alyson Stoner, Australian star Becca, and new comers Bexy, and country duo Moonshine. Other credited songwriters Blake has been fortunate to write with include: Gerry Stober (Aaron Neville, Jennifer Love Hewitt, No Mercy, Gabrielle Destroimaisons), and Anthony Mazza (Ja-Rule, Christina Aguilera, Joanna Picitti, etc.)
