Flipping the Coin

Flipping the Coin

It's about 90 degrees outside and they've never felt so alive
The hills are steeper than they'll ever know, but blinded by each other they fall
Backbones are breaking cause they keep bending backwards for love
God knows love can be painful, but some pain just ain't beautiful

CH

With lights getting dim and there's no space
Take a step back and retrace
Is it worth the break
Is it worth the heartache

One is saying they're not ready to quit
And the other one's begging for a new life to live
"Flipping the coin this time just won't cut it baby," he said
As she's grasping the last picture frame
She's asking him to leave the same way he came
This won't be a very difficult thing
Considering these two will never change

CH

This is not, not like you to leave all the summer times behind
This is not anything, anything like you
So just come back cause we miss you more than you will ever know

A New Disguise

A New Disguise

Keeping this lie to myself
I am sleeping inside and out
I want you here with me
Maybe you're keeping me far away for some odd reason
I'm up for the challenge
So keep it comin', yea, keep it comin'
I keep falling from higher, and every time it ends
Things get better and better

CH The light that shines through my window at night
It's not just the moon, it's the fire in your eyes
A new disguise I cannot reach, you catch me every time
A new disguise I cannot reach every time, I'm caught off guard

I'm stronger than I show, weaker than you'll ever know
I lock the door behind me and it's cheesy but you always find the key
I heard you never lie
I heard you never try
Oh and I know it's such a crime that in me you'll never die
I keep falling from higher, and every time it ends
Things get better and better

CH

Do you believe in magic, cause I think it's sitting right in front of me
Sew my heart back into my chest
Cause it's jumping for joy
Jumping right out of me

Fool Yourself

Fool Yourself

Hanging out in the parking lot, what's the plan now?
Always searching to waste time and we didn't care how.
Nobody was watching us, all the more reasons to dance.
So we danced every night away, we danced away.

CH

We agreed that pretending only works if you can fool yourself.
And we wanna live until our memories rock us to sleep, rock us to sleep.
Yea, what's a Friday night with more than five hours of sleep?
What a joke that would be.
Not a day would pass us by without someone screaming, "Those damn teenagers!"
You can never make too much noise, you can never beat up too many boys.
What's another rematch?

CH

Never too much sneaking around,
Endless talks of moving out of this town.
The air was fresh full of dreams,
Uneasy of letting them be seen.

CH (x2)

Honestly if it were up to me I'd relive everyday, everyday would be the same.
Don't fall asleep on me now's the time to show me how to go on on my own.
I can't imagine this on my own, on my own.
