"Post-Grunge Perfection"

"In a nutshell, Blame Amy is post-grunge perfection. In a climate crowded with carbon copy imitators and pop/punk wannabe's, these guys recall the raw energy of grunge greats while easily managing to wrap themselves in a sound that's all their own. After one listen you can tell these guys are not messing around"

"Etched into your Soul"

"From first listen, Blame Amy has grabbed my attention and flat will not let go. They are much more than
a great sounding band. The songwriting of vocalist Jamal Buchet is exceptional and their songs somehow
become etched into your soul like a tattoo. They become a part of you, a part that you cherish and protect,
even flirting on the edge of worship.."

Ken Clark, Seattle & Beyond - Seattle & Beyond

"The Real Deal"

"Straight through your soul lyrics combined with screaming guitars and heart stopping drums...Blame Amy pack a mean punch and are not to be lumped in with the ditch full of wanna-be rock stars. These guys are the real deal from start to finish. Become a fan now, because soon everyone will be."

-C.C. Chapman, Host & Producer

"A Perfect Fit"

Blame Amy's debut CD is just what the industry needs: not some cookie cutter album, but a real rock album. The song "Perfect Fit" IS a perfect fit for the rock music industry.

Bio

Jamal Buchet had been writing and recording music in his home studio for seven years. In December of 2003 his sister decided it would be a great Christmas present to give Jamal a few of his songs professionally mixed.

She approached indie local Piggyback Records studios to do the mixes, who quickly signed Jamal to a record deal.

Having just moved to Bend Oregon, and not knowing a lot of musicians, the label hooked him up with local talent; lead guitarist / background vocalist Andy Jacobs, and bassist Mike Larson in 2004, and the trio began learning Jamal's songs and adding their own touches to make the synergy complete. Andy and Mike brought in their old friend and drummer Adam Lowrie later in the year, and the band was officially born.

In the past 3 months, the band has achieved permanent rotation on local FM Radio (A Top 40 Station, no less), has been featured in over 50 podcasts and internet radio stations worldwide, and is quickly climbing the charts at garageband.com.

You're probably wondering about the name. There is no physical Amy. She's just embodies all the girls in the guys' lives who have made them miserable. "Everyone has an Amy in their life, and if you get the chance, the best revenge is to name your band after her."
