"The Benefits and Guests Turn Cheel Into Ska/Punk Scene"

The night started off a bit rocky with a conflict in schedules. According to the CUB website, Blame Winter was supposed to start playing at 7 PM. However, according to the official Blame Winter website, the show was not to begin until 8 PM. This left the audience a bit confused considering that eager listeners that showed up at 7 PM had to wait an hour until the promised show began. However, once the band came on stage, it was obvious that the wait was well worth it.

Featuring a blend of modern-rock, pop and punk, Blame Winter is five-member band resembling the likes of Third Eye Blind and Guster. They were formed in 2003 by lead singer Brian Goodling and lead guitarist Dan Bodansky and have since been growing both musically and in popularity. Saturday night's show was a good example of their promising talent. With roughly a forty-five minute set, Blame Winter left the audience pleased and excited to hear the main act. - Clarkson Integrator

Bio

COMING TOGETHER TO MAKE MUSIC has given us a chance to learn, grow, and develop, while sharing one amazing experience. To see how far we've come, since March 2004, has been so rewarding as we further our knowledge in the world of music making.
Looking back, to when it was just two guys and two guitars, feels like ages ago - but those times will never be forgotten. Having our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends and our faith behind us, has positively added to the overwhelming beauty of it all, making our music experience all-the-more worth it. Making music, to us, is about finding a way to blend reality with our lyrics and own lives.
Who would've thought five kids, from five parts of the world, could come together and make melodies, so strong, so loving, so real, and still be college kids? Well we're just that...
