Bio

It is true that in the “Army” you do more by 6 a.m. than most people do all day. What you may not know is that the Army plays temporary home to one of the most prolific entertainers in the world!
Blaqheart, born Reginale Thomas has turned what most urban teens dream of into his profession. As a teen, Blaqheart would bolster his skills as an emcee at local talent shows and rap battles. It was the talent shows that made him think more as an entertainer than just an emcee. Blaqheart realized at an early age that he was a star and that to prove it, he had to win every time out. At a time when dancing rappers were popular; Blaqheart stood by his style of music, but he was creative enough to bring in the background dancers most crowds and young audiences were looking for. By the age of sixteen Blaqheart had dominated his area with lyrics that young adults could relate to and an explosive stage show that mesmerized night clubs and arenas.
Blaqheart knew he had the talent and ventured out to the world; as a teen that meant the southeast area of the United States, to build his fan base. As his fan base started to multiply, Blaqheart responded by continuing to make hot music, but during this time Blaqheart responded to a higher calling. A calling that many young Americans answer everyday, Blaqheart would join one of the strongest teams in the world. The United States Army!
The Army would take Blaqheart around the world. Blaqheart would use the time to promote his music and the security the Army would provide others. Blaq became ever more focused on his music career; he knew that fulfilling his dreams meant not only helping others but also making his lyrical voice heard.
Blaq’s career began to pivot with performances throughout Japan, Europe and the Southeastern U.S. His fan base hit an all time high when he finished his opening performance for Grammy Award winning rap duo “OutKast” and southern star “Mr. Mike” in 2004.
Blaq knew that this would be his test musically, so he continued to do shows and began his search for the pieces that would bring his puzzle together. His shows would create a demand for his music, so Blaq released a single titled “Down Here”, which would be featured on several mix tapes and would ultimately create a buzz for the release of his debut album titled “Cardiac Arrest”. Blaq was still obligated to the Army so he would use the internet to market and sell many of his albums. Sites like CDBaby.com/Blaqheart would represent the sale of thousands of units. After the sells picked up Blaq would return to his hometown to perform. Blaq would be invited to several music festivals where he would perform songs from his independent album. In 2005, Blaq would perform in Germany a place where he would be stationed until his departure for his tour in Iraq.
Blaqheart is the difference because of what he does in his community, in the world and in his music. The album “Cardiac Arrest” features several different styles and guarantees to heart stopping, breathe taking lyrics. Blaqheart breathes life into the music world!
