Blaqout

Throughout venues all over the state of Missouri, electronic music producer Lance Dean (alias Blaqout) has been a memorable addition to the local electronic music scene, and is quickly gaining exposure. In the beginning of the year 2012, he began mixing music and DJing house parties around the trifecta of towns surrounding Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In the summer of 2012 he began producing his first original songs, and just months later at age sixteen, signed with Relentik Records for a release coming the following year.
Since then, he has had experience with many venues across Missouri, all in his first year of being in the business. Live Free 2013 was his big start; a local show set to bring electronic music to the local area and give those who follow it an event to enjoy, and remember. The first was a terrible turn-out, numerous problems made this show less than desirable, both in the event and with Blaqouts live setup, consisting of one Macbook Pro, an Akai APC-40 and a Pioneer DJM-850-K. There was one event following that one, just a few months later that really marked the start of the musicians career. With an attendance of nearly two hundred electronic music lovers in the local area, and some from out of town, this was by far a show to be remembered. The intentions of bringing Live Free to different towns, and periodically holding events fell through unfortunately, when the person in charge of making the events happen fell into a large amount of debt. With one of the performers deploying, and the other being arrested, the Live Free Crew was finished before it fully started.
This made for some hardships, as far as being booked for different venues go. He kept producing for a few months afterward, and at age seventeen, still a senior at Waynesville High School, picked up a five-year record deal with Electro Dragon Records, with whom he also is now hired to master songs submitted to the label. Since the hiatus from shows, hes now a pseudo-regular at Johan Collins Dubfixx, held monthly in Springfield. He also has experience with various local clubs and the annual event LoveDaze 2013, held by LoveWay Records.
In such a short period of time, hes shared the stage with artists such as Mr. Kristopher, Gonzo, Frindli Quinnli, Christofer Drew, PlunkiE, Volkstroker, Francis Rizzudo, The Maniac Agenda as well as many others and continues to add more to the list. Following this exposure, he now produces, mixes, masters, and performs his own music, and is now working on producing merchandise for his followers, all on his own whilst still juggling two other jobs, school and a college class. Artists such as PlunkiE and Llulagan have supported him and helped him out immensely throughout his time doing what he loves, and collaborations with PlunkiE, Star Craze and grammy nominee The Maniac Agenda are expected to be seen soon on Electro Dragon Records, as well as Multikill Recordings in the future.
This artist is quickly growing, and has yet to disappoint. Support from promoters such as Johan Collins, David MacMillan and Ben Bauder of LoveWay Records has had a major impact on his career, and it isnt looking to stop soon.
