"Blaza Duval - "For The Glory" (Official Video) Review"

"Blaza Duval is the true definition of Hip-Hop. He's the type of artist that I would scout for, for my own record label. He's the type of artist that I would tell people about when they ask about new artists and music to listen to. I really enjoyed his visual and song as a whole. Definitely an ear opener." - Shadarra Lockett (@DMV_Shad On Twitter) - Underground Industry

"Blaza Duval – ‘For The Glory’"

Blaza Duval’s “For The Glory” explores the innermost desire to succeed. With lyrics that emphasize accomplishment for oneself, the song is a powerful ode to self-motivation. Throughout the song Blaza Duval’s flow is flawless as he states exactly what is needed in order to achieve his goals. By being in control of his destiny Blaza Duval does not have to answer to anyone but instead lets the internal struggle to get better and better serve as enough strength. Anchoring all of these inspiring lyrics is a massive beat that is relentless.

Starting off the piece is a tense piano sample that serves as one of the mainstays of the piece. Additional layers are introduced into the mix resulting in a massive swirl of sound getting ever stronger and more potent in intensity. Blaza Duval lets his lyrics explain exactly how he uses his own belief in himself to drive him forward. A message of deeply felt individualism takes hold of the piece, as Blaza Duval ensures that he stays honest to himself. Throughout it all the nimble rhythm works wonders. Little flourishes of sound weave their way in and out of the mix, refusing to let up. Towards the end of the piece the song slows things down going for a gigantic, epic finale. Slowing down the tempo and adding a hot guitar solo brings the entire song to a satisfying close.

"Feature Article (Rude Boy Magazine)"

Jacksonville, Florida BMI songwriter and artist Blaza Duval is currently positioning himself as one of the most promising talents in the Florida music scene in recent years since entering into the music industry in 2012. Blaza started building his buzz in the south through an opportunity presented by Southern Smoke deejay DJ Smallz. It was the privilege of having a freestyle featured on DJSmallz.com. The attention that was garnered by this feature motivated Blaza to focus on creating his first original song which would ultimately be released within a year’s time. Blaza’s debut radio single, “Grind or Die,” officially released to iTunes in April 2013 becoming one of the fastest growing, successful, and independent singles of the year.

“Grind or Die” went on to gain Blaza much recognition including being featured on a Top 20 ATL DJ Pack where he found himself on track listings alongside singles by Atlanta-based artists (B.O.B., Ludacris, and Future) and mainstream heavyweights T-Pain, Twista, Busta Rhymes, and Rick Ross. Additionally, Blaza earned various nominations on the West coast and in 2013 was voted Independent Male Artist of the Year for his region. On Valentine’s Day in February 2014, Blaza Duval released a free digital single and music video to show love to his fans which he entitled “P.S.A.” It surpassed the total combined views for Blaza’s two previous music video releases and served as another sign that his fan base was growing across various mediums.

In June 2014, Blaza founded his own independent label imprint and entertainment company, Boom Boy Entertainment, focusing on creating original music for local businesses, major record labels, and national brands. Boom Boy Entertainment was also created to help other aspiring independent singer/songwriters with their own development, branding, and song placements on radio, television, and movies. In April 2015, Blaza helped Jacksonville-based artist Brittney Lawrence place second out of roughly 80 artists and bands in One Spark’s third year. Blaza Duval is currently working on his debut album set to release in early 2016. - Rude Boy Magazine

Jacksonville, Florida BMI songwriter and artist "Blaza Duval" is currently positioning himself as one of the most promising talents in the Florida music scene in recent years, since entering into the music industry in 2012.

In 2012, Blaza Duval started building his buzz in the South through an opportunity presented by Southern Smoke dee-jay DJ Smallz., which was the privilege of having a freestyle featured on DJSmallz.com. The freestyle was released to the public in June 2012, while being personally plugged nationally by DJ Smallz and his Southern Smoke team on Twitter, where it was retweeted multiple times by their collective followers over several weeks. The attention that was garnered by this feature motivated Blaza Duval to focus on creating his first original song, which would ultimately be released within a year's time.

Blaza Duval's debut radio single "Grind or Die" officially released to iTunes in April 2013 and became one of the fastest growing, successful, independent singles of the year. Upon making its radio debut on 94.7 FM The Beat in Charlotte, North Carolina, "Grind or Die" logged steady run on radio airwaves in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New York, Nevada, and various internet radio providers around the world. Upon being debuted during a "Pump It or Dump It" segment for independent artists on live radio, Blaza Duval's debut single found itself on a "#Hot3at3" segment the following week. The three most requested songs via social media were "Grind or Die," "The Way" by Ariana Grande featuring Mac Miller, and "The Problem" by Noreaga featuring Pharrell.

"Grind or Die" was streamed over 10,000 times on on-line radio service provider Jango Radio in its first three months after release. Many of those listeners were fans residing in international countries - most notably in Germany, Israel, and Japan. At around the same time, the producer behind the record launched his own clothing line - GrindorDieLife - inspired by the Grind or Die movement and, together, they have seen the #GrindorDie hashtag trend on Twitter and Instagram where it has amassed nearly 20,000 tags through the end of 2014.

Blaza Duval's debut single also earned him three independent artist award nominations on the west coast in 2013, where "Grind or Die" experienced its longest radio run on The Gud Tymez Radio Show in Las Vegas, NV via Hot 108FM and Power 89FM. The buzz generated by steady airplay from fan requests in this region earned Blaza Duval nominations for Independent Single of the Year, Independent Male Artist of the Year, and Independent Hip-Hop/Rap Artist of the Year. Fans ultimately voted him as 2013 Independent Male Artist of the Year.

On Valentine's Day in February 2014, Blaza Duval released a free digital single and music video to show love to his fans, which he entitled "P.S.A." The single was not released to radio due to his desire to keep it strictly digital and on-line, where its music video has been viewed almost 15,000 times on YouTube, with no promotional budget or marketing campaign behind it. "P.S.A." surpassed the total combined views for Blaza Duval's two previous music video releases and served as another sign that his fan base was growing across various mediums.

In April 2014, Blaza Duval was named as one of three inaugural One Spark Jurors for Music, and helped to select Jacksonville Beach band "SideReal" to receive a $10,000 stipend for their efforts to spread music and school supplies to underprivileged youth in Central and South America. He also helped raise funds during a RocketHub campaign that brought in over $90,000 in donations towards the crowd-funded Jacksonville festival, during which over 260,000 people attended between April 9-13.

In June 2014, Blaza Duval founded his own independent label imprint and entertainment company - Boom Boy Entertainment - focused on creating high energy and positive original music for local businesses, major record labels, and national brands.
